Is it normal to have to keep the choke half closed when first started up for about 10 to 15 seconds on farmall h. If I don't do this it will stall. This is a newly rebuilt motor. Runs fine after the few seconds of choke. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks Bob

If you don't have to choke it on start up the carb is set to rich. Just my opinion.

Sounds normal. Every tractor is a little bit different. If I choke my H at all it will flood instantly. Just pull throttle back and start it up.

Bob that would be pretty common in my experience. I usually do 2 or 3 cranks on full choke then no choke and my Hs and M come to life. Then I usually have to fiddle with the choke for the next 20 to 40 seconds depending on how cold it is.
