Well guys I finally got the new marvel carb to replace that damn zenith on my C. The tractor runs rough with the old carb bbut not at all with the new. The carb floods but doesn't seem to be getting gas at the plugs. How many turns should th air mix be out? Is there something stupid that I am doing wrong?

them old farmalls love to flood if everything isnt just right. too much choke, not enough, float not just right. there are so many reasons its a wonder I love working on these things. First make sure your timing is right. you can play with the carb all night long and it wont mean a thing if the timing is off. then check the idle speed and set it correctly. then with it at low idle adjust the mixture screw till it runs the best. I know that sounds easy but I have been doing it so long I don't know how to explain what I did anymore. Most of the C tractors are around 1/2 to 2 turns out but not all. remember Distributer and timing first then the carb. If you need any help or specs you can Email.
