I was fortunate enough to purchase a C shop mule this past weekend. Everything is consistant with the C, however, no pics as of yet. I have seen many different mules made by Hubart, but this one has a tag made by Mercer Engineering Works out of NY, NY. Basically, its what I call a "low rider" because all four wheels are smaller than normal mules I have seen. I think it is a neat little job, bought it right, needs quite a bit of work. However, with a few parts tractors around, it will be looking good in no time. Can anyone tell me any history on the model, how about if there are any more of them out there? Anything would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

The engine block and transmission housing are date coded 12-7-T, making it a '51. The front standard wide front axle looks to be like one from an Farmall W-4. It also has a power unit grill. Ten inch tires are on the front and 16" truck tires on the rear, both with solid cast rim inserts. Need to get pictures on here but can't as of yet. All I can say is it is neat, very much a low rider.

I have a Hebard model A-21. Never heard of a "C" shop mule. Of course the C engine is basically the same as the A which the Hebard mule is based on, but the transmission and final drives are different. I wonder when you will be able to post a picture. Does it have the C final drives?? If it does, and has small tires, it must travel really slow if it has the C transmission and final drive which is for 36 inch rims.
