I bought an A Farmall at a sale this morning. Tires are all real good, no welds,no seat or paint to speak of,runs like a top with no smoke at all and has a five foot woods mower on it that also works real good. I gave $1300 for it. Is that about right? Thanks

Around these parts, the condition of the tractor does not matter much - if it has an underbelly mower, it goes for about 2000 on up. So I'd say you got a good deal, just slap a seat on, and if you are real extravagant, some paint too!

Oh Geez!
A good gambler knows when to cut and run. I say sell it to me for $650, at least you'll be getting half your money back! But then again the Farmall guru would probably say, " you did good little grasshopper".

Got it home this evening, you should have hit me before I did. I've made a living on the farm driving tractors and I just got in from playing with that A. I bought it because my 12 year old son has had farmall fever for years. We have my grandads old M, it doesn't run but I'm sure it will before long. The A doesn't have lights but we've been taking turns driving it by flashlight. Son has to wait his turn. You would think as much as I have to drive a tractor that it wouldn't be possible to have as much fun as I've had tonight. I even went and got my dad to see Nate get to drive his first Farmall. Sorry so long, but I cant wait till daylight. Thanks to all of you

Worth it??? Whish I had found it first! You did fine with this one! They are a nice tractor and the mower is worth a few hundred, also. I could touch a running A around here for that price.

Thanks, Hard to believe as many tractors as there is around here I could be as pumped as I am about a little A. I wouldn't even have been interested if it wasn"t for my 12 year old son wanting a Farmall so bad. What is it they say "that a child shall lead them" Go figure!! Thanks Al

Bless that child, Al. If he wants a "Farmall" he already knows what's good at his yound age. That "A" will grow on ya', they are a nice tractor.

I just got back from a sale and a B went for $2400 with a woods deck on, I think you got a good deal. I picked up a 3 bottom plow with rubber tires for $70 today not a bad day for me either.

Well I think the woods mowers alone are about $1300 new and it sounds like you've got a nice tractor. Have fun. SAm in NS
