If I ever get him off it I need a little advice on how to tighten the steering. Almost all the slop is in the box. Can it be tightened up? Thanks Al

I have a Farmall A I use mainly for getting wood and if my son knows he will get an opportunity to drive that tractor he will work like a madman in the woods! We enjoy our tractors togather and he now knows the meaning of one of his Grandpa's more famous quotes-"Son,a tractor means work".

Heck you have it made! My almost 3 yr old grandson was pointing out to me that my H belonged to him this morning. He kept pointing to my H and saying "Ryan's tractor"! I'd tell him no it was my tractor and he'd just say "No, Ryan's tractor".
I can't ever get any work done when he's around , he has to be the "driver".
But I love it!!!!

Fill the fuel tank on the go for a year. As soon as he hits teen and discovers blondes you have to hog tie him to get him on a tractor.

Big Al, you said that it was HIS Farmall. Put a plow on it and turn him loose in the garden...

No wonder you can't get him off it. You'd have trouble getting me off it.

I think he means a 47 A model. Was reading it was an A in an earlier post and it was built in '47. :)

All ya gotta do is convince him that what he's dong is WORK, not fun. If he's anything like my grandson, he'll run for parts unknown when he hears the "W" word... ":^)

I don't have kids, but I have nieces. My niece Morgan rides w/ all day not matter what tractor it is or what I'm doing. She told my dad, her grandpa, that she was gonna take her Uncle Devon's 966D home,a nd she's only 4. YOu got to love them.
