I bought a Farmall 100 as is not running.
the stator is removed.
I take the hand crank & turn the motor over
about 10 complete rounds & then it locks up tight solid & can not turn it over. Reach in the stator
hole with a bar turn the motor backwards about
half around then take the hand crank & the motor will turn over about 10 rounds & locks up tight again.& again & again.
Any Ideas I need help I do not understand this

Had this problem last week with a ranger pickup,, have an assistant hold the clutch in while you turn it, mine had some teeth shelled on the input shaft, causing it to lock up every 4 to 5 turns, but with the clutch in it would'nt lock up,, Luck
