Punch below for a few pix of the wheat harvest pix I grabbed the past couple of days. I apologize for this is not being strictly Farmall/IHC-related....however we do still use a couple IHC/Navistar trucks here! ...Bob M

Great pictures! Have never seen a haycruiser like that before, and I'm in the hay business although fairly new to it (www.hay4horse.com). How many bales does it hold when full? When unloading, if only stacking one load high, assume you can unload without any other equipment? What clearance do you need on your barn to get under the door?

How do you pile the bales in the barn? The stacker can only go half that high so how do you pile the rest? By hand

BH - The upper rows of bales are stacked by bail picker mounted on a rough terrain forklift. It can pick and place an entire layer of bales as high as 20'. Don't have a good photo of it right now - will however try to get one this afternoon...

Here ya go BH! Took this one as we stacked up the first bales several days ago. Notice the bale grabber that picks an entire layer at at time attached to the forks.

Nice looking crop of wheat and obviously turning off as well as it looks. That is a red winter wheat from my view or am I wrong. I was talking with a local farmer this pm his white winter wheat is not doing so well, heads are short and he tells me kernels not filled well. We are just about a month now since any measurable amount of rain, in SW Ontario. Crops are hurting. Corn and Soybeans that had a canopy 2-3 weeks ago look not bad.

As always, excellent pics. Looks like the contractor should save on scaffolding on that building!

GREAT pictures Bob! I like that machine that picks up and stacks the bales. What kind of yield did that field produce? Looks like it was a good crop!

Hey John - We were running mid 60's yield Sunday and yesterday - much better than last year! That Stackcruiser is a slick machine - picks up and stacks bails while cruising down a row at 15+ mph. Sure beats wrestling 'em by hand!

That is one heck of a straw shed Stokoe is building. Do they have some commercial customers lined up?

Yeah - I understand a lot of that straw winds up at breeding farms and a racetrack at the eastern end of NY state.

Thanks for the pics. I sure would like to play with that equipment, but the last time a real farmer talked me into driving his articulated JD, I ran over his tiller with the back end. Who ever heard of a retired preacher who could actually drive something that big. He got a kick out of it, but I was a bit embarrassed. I had no idea that tiller could just jump under the wheel like that!
