I just bought a Type B (1946) & was wondering how I check the Oil? There doesn't seem to be a dip stick anywhere!

There should be two diamond shape pitcocks on the tractors left hand side of the oil pan, one slightly below the other. Open the lower one. If oil comes out of the valve, the oil level is OK. If it does not, it needs more oil. Close the valve and open the top one. Add oil until it comes out of the top one. When it does, it is full.

One caution. The valves open it a clock wise direction. But the valves have left handed threads. If the tops are broken off (as some are) you can take the entire valve out and weld a new top to the screw.

Good Luck
