We have a C with a 6ft. Woods mower on it. The Problem is the mower settles, the pump raises it andit settles again, and it is getting worse. We would like to fix it, does it have to come off or can it be fixed on the tractor and are parts available and how hard is it. Thanks

Have you tried changing out the fluid first? I've seen very strange results from old diluted/contaminated fluid in these systems. First I would try draining it, flush the intake screen and refill the system with Hy-Tran or another good hydraulic oil with anti-foaming qualities. Possibly save tearing the thing apart.

It sounds like your piston seal is leaking internal. You probally can fix. You should get a I&T Shop manual to help you. Check with your I-H dealer for parts available.
