I have a farmall 656D hydro. It seams to run good untill you rev it up and then it acts like one of the injectors is missing. but when you put it under a pull it smoothes out. What could this be? Bad injector??? If so does anyone know where I can buy a good set of rebuilt injectors for a 282? Thanks Brad

I had a 560D with 282 engine, did what you are describing for years. Everytime we put it on dyno it turned 90 hp. I would be willing to bet you have it turning 2200-2300 maximum rpm. Mine went 11,000 hours and and then put 2 piston and rods through the block. It was also worked like a 90 hp tractor.

the powercell injecters are not much when in top cond, sounds to me like the timeing losen the mounting bolts and turn the top of the pump tword the motor, a little will go a long way,

Tried all that, didn't change a thing. As for the injectors not being much, had two of those 282 diesels, both bought new. I put 11,000 hours on 560D and 9,500 on 656D and never had an injector out of either of them. Sounds quite good to me. I owned other makes of diesels that did have injectors changed with a lot less hours.

656 never did have the problem of fluttering when not under load. Never did have it on dyno, but don't think it was much off the 65 hp mark that it was suposed to be. 560 was dynoed several times and it also put out 90 hp for the duration, and it did flutter when not under load.
