I have a Cub 129 and am having trouble with the hydrostatic transmission. When you drive the tractor you constantly have to be pushing the lever to continue moving. If you don't the tractor will eventually stop. Any thoughts on this problem?

The 129 has a friction disc or a clamp on the lower end of the control handle to hold it. It can be ajusted at the lower end. By the book they are ajusted to have so much pull to move the control leaver.

Check the web site ihcubcadet.com. There's some Frequently asked questions that detail how to fix this... It entails welding/brazing and a very few $$$ worth of nw parts but shows a complete pictorial of what has to be done.
