Thanks to everyone who responded to my last post. Here's a new theory to throw into the pot. One post said they spent $185.00 I can not afford that now or anytime soon for a tractor. Car maybe, tractor no. So that's out. Next said try IH 2150 that's nice, but I don't have a paint sprayer right now, once again the money thing. One said Van Sickle is good. That leads to the conflict and question. I have a choice between farm stores. One is Quality Farm and Fleet and their paint. The other carries Van Sickle brand. The difference in price is $2.50 on sale at Quality and $3.19 regular price at the other. So let me narrow it down. I will be using spray cans for a couple reasons. One this is a temporary paint job, for a show coming up in 3 weeks. I will be repianting when I get my barn and workshop built which will be next fall. Until then it will sit under a tarp when not in use outside. Third this is a work tractor when it's not on vacation at shows. So knowing this information which would you all do? The paint goes off sale Saturday at Quality so I need as much info by tomorrow as I can get. Sorry so long. Thanks in advance. Bill {Antique Acres}

I am using engine paint I buy at most auto parts stores. Ford Red is a good color, but too red for Farmall. It looks good, is durable for the oils and heat and such, but the color is definately not correct. I am trying to get a good coat of paint on my freshly sandblasted metal parts and worry about the correct shade later.

Found this site searching for Van Sickle paint info. We are having our house painted and the painter is using Van Sickle Super Premium Exterior latex paint. Never heard of it. And we are a little concerned about the quality. How does it measure against the more commonly known brands? Thanks for any input. Barb in ND
