I recently saw an international "stockyard Mule"
tractor at a tractor pull. I've never seen or heard or this model. It looked to be the size of the farmall A but set much lower to the ground. Is anyone familiar with this tractor?

I believe the term Mule is used to designate a custom built tractor. Like its namesake, it is a bastardization of misc pieces and parts and at times it was designed to perform specific duties not conveniently performed by the tractors ready available or on hand. Most were "Shop Mules" or custom built tractors to tow stuff in and out of the shop. They were more suited to this purpose than for instance a row crop tractor..... and vice versa....

Never heard one called a "Stockyard" Mule. I have a Shop Mule that was made by Hebard Company in Chicago, using Farmall A parts and parts that Hebard made themselves. There are quite a few of these around. Also saw a couple made by other companies at the Red Power Round up. There was one there that was made from a C.

Haas, The picture you posted is exactly the type
I had seen. I'm sure i had the name wrong and it was a shop mule built from a farmall A. Do you have any suggestions on how to locate one for sale
and what price one would bring?

The front axle braces on mine are round. They apparently are made out of tubing, because they are not real heavy. As to the price, of course I know what I paid, would not take twice that for it. Was asked to price it at the Red Power Round up, and was thinking of three times the previously paid price, but was afraid if I did, it would be gone.
