Can the rear main seal on a Farmall 350 be replaced by just removing the oil pan and without splitting the tractor (can you push the upper half of the seal in) or is it in a special housing that requires you to remove the flywheel--splitting the tractor? Thanks for any and all info.

I have never worked on a 350, but from the information, and knowledge that I know. If I were you I would plan on spliing the tractor.

I think you can replace the main bearings without splitting the tractor, but must split the tractor to replace the seal. Someone else should verify this.
