I'm looking for some advice on W-6 restorations. My Grandpa will give me his but it also needs a lot of work. The engines stuck, it needs to be converted from lp back to gas. I also know of a parts tractor that I can pick-up for a couple hun. How hard is it to find parts for these tractors. Do a lot of parts interchange with M's?
Thanks in advance.

The os-6 is the older series of the w-6. The difference was a hand clutch and I think no hydralics on the os.The w-6's also had bigger rubber. My 2 cents.

The OS-6 is the version of the O-6 without all of the orchard shielding. The I-6 (I for industrial), O-6 (O for orchard), OS-6 (OS for orchard special), and W-6 (W for wheel or wheatland) were all built at the same time.

I've got one, great tractor. Mine has a magnito, I use a hand crank to start it. Same basic tractor as M except, wide front, no T/A, no hydraulics. Look under the photos you should be able to find mine. I use it for raking, baling, and general work. Easy to maintain tractor and it has power.

I have put one back together from the frame. The block is the same as a M. Some of the difference are air cleaner, air tube, bell housing plate, timing cover, and starter. I like mine and would be the last thing I probably would sell. I have plowed with m,h but W6 is the best.
