Installed a turbo on my 706 diesel-282 motor-took plug out of intake manifold and still have vacuum.Should I have pressure instead? Neighbor told me should have 5-10 psi at around 1800 rpm. Need all help I can get.

you won't see any pressure until you work it hard. When the governor opens and pumps more fuel ,you will see a boost. I have a JD 5820 SP chopper with a 619TA engine. I installed a boost gauge in the cab to manifold. At 2200 rpm gauge is at "0". Put her into 4 rows of corn at 5 mph and the boost gauge goes as high as 22 psi.
