I'm looking for a wide front end on a 404 to replace my single wheel Can any one tell where I might find one and what other models would fit.

This is just a wild guess, but I think that the wide front from the Farmall C, Super C, 200, and 230 would fit, or the Farmall 240 front end. I have a 240, and it has the wide front off of a Super C. The 404 replaced the 240, so mabey they all interchange. A couple words of advice though, these front ends are pretty expensive, prone to breakage, and have a wide turning radius, which makes the tractor less manuverable. Also, make sure to say that you're looking for the front end for a Farmall 404 Row-Crop, so you don't get one for the International 404 Utility.

Hope this helps!

Don't know where you'd find one but I have a question for you. You said you wanted to replace
your single front wheel? You have a single
wheel instead of a two tire tricycle front end?
I'm wondering because I have the same thing (single front wheel) on a Farmall 404 and have
never seen another like it. I was assuming that
mine may have come from under a cotton picker and thus the single wheel. If this was standard
equipment on a utility tractor like the IH 404
then perhaps mine was also standard. Anyone know?

Single front wheels were fairly common on Farmalls of all sizes in the deep South.

I live in Louisiana And my brother has a 404 also with the single wheel and there are several others in the area.
