Brandon, we had this same issue on our 26 15-30. We made our own slide hammer from a piece of rolled steel and threaded the end to fit in the pin. Soaked it good with penetrant and pulled it right out without any troubles. The flywheel on the other hand was a different story. I made a puller out of 3inch c channel. I cut a length of it in two pieces and welded it together to make a "T". Drilled holes in the three ends to match holes in the flywheel and using heavy grade bolts we tightened the puller down against the end of the crankshaft pulling the flywheel off, with a little persuasion with a sledgehammer and lots of penetrant. Also cleaned the end of the crank real good with emery cloth to make the flwheel slide over it easier. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Brandon, I just pulled the flywheel off a 10 20 engine without removing the pin with no problems that have shown up to date. Someone on here told me to use chains on the flywheel and a hyd. jack against the crank (I think) and it came off. At least that is how I remember it. Good luck.

Brandon, I am stuck at the same place on my project to replace the main bearings on my W-30 which has a very similar engine. I plan to try a 3/8 threaded "Eye Bolt" and a slide hammer this weekend. Good Luck!

There was a special slide hammer that dealers had to pull the key. Similar to the modern ones shops use today. All you need is the threaded bolt to screw into the key welded to a adapter to fit the threaded part of the modern slide hammer puller. Hope this isn't confusing. Jere
