I want it tractor pull with a 400 or 450 wichever i find first. I want one with a 2-point if possible to do work around the farm. Could an M drawbar fit on the tractor frame without taking the two point off? Also, did three hyd. come standard?

I would like to make a standard hitch to pull from. My E-mail is jeffg245@hotmail.com or you could put it on this website too.

I have a 400 Diesel that I farm with and pull as well. I use the 2 point to pull from. I did make brackets that bolt to the top of the axles and a bracket on both the 2 point arms. Between these two brackets I use a top link on both sides to make my draw bar stationary for height. As for being able to use an M draw bar without taking the two point off I don't think you will clear the two point hardware. As for the hydratouch control valves, no they only came with one and the other two were optional. Post your E-mail and I will send you some pictures of my two point set up for pulling.

As I understand this you are not allowed to use your fast hitch for pulling. This is why I could never warm up to tractor pulling. On the farm if one tractor had an attachment that gave it an advantage over another we used it, should be the same for pulling

I remember when modern day pulling came to my hometown. I had the only 1066 in area and there was a 125hp Deere. Those were the only two tractors around the area over 100 hp in the mid 70s. We were both presured to put these tractors in pull, primarily by respective dealers. They wanted so many items changed to suit pulling rules, we both told them to get lost. We were both working our tractors every day and would have taken two days to get ready.

I use my two point to pull from. The only requirement was that It had to have some type of stabilization. The two point lift cylinder could be removed and a solid link put in its place. All my tractors have the two point and I use them regularly so I did not want to go to the hassel of removing the cylinder every time I went to a pull. I have brackets on the top of both axle housings and on each side of my two point that I place top links in. This lets me adjust my two point up or down as needed but is rigid.
