I am looking at a Farmall Cub that is being sold by a lonely widow who only drove it to church on Sundays but does not know how it works. All kidding aside, how do you crank up the hydraulics on this machine to lift the belly mower? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

Gee Bob...unless it has a seperate engine for the hydraulic pump, it should be pumping when you crank the tractor and the "Touch Control" (lever at left of governor control) should raise or lower the mower. Otherwise, check the fluid and beyond that, purchase a repair manual and go to work. The folks in here will be available to hand you tools...*wink*

Thank you for the info. I thought it might be operating when the engine was running but was not sure. There is so much grease, oil and hydraulic fluid on the tractor that it is hard to find any plugs. Now, getting it (buying it) past the missus is a chore in itself.

Well Bob on the bright side, grease is a lot easier to remove than rust.
