In draining transmission, found 3/16 thick piece of curved metal, curved fragment was 1/2 long. I went ahead and drew out the circle from it and it makes a 1 1/2" diameter circle. What could this be from? Looks like a large thick washer?
Any help very appreciated.

I don't know where the piece might be from, but I have found lot's of metal in transmissions left over from previous repairs.

If the transmission is quiet and runs good, I would not worry about it. There are very few places accessible without taking the top plate off, which is not a minor job.

Could be a bull gear retainer, which is accessible through the PTO. Probably is not part of the transmission unless you got it out of the front drain point.
