I posted a forum yesturday and now have found the problem and glad i didn't do any more pulling or driving with the tractor. I took the two plates covering the trans. and the TA. I first looked into the trans. and looked like new! But than looked into the clutch on the torque and the bearing was dry! something had fallen apart in the bearing and was literaly froced through the top of it! there was an inch long hole in the top with many metal peices lieing on the bottom of the belly. The loud noise when slipping or free wheeling was bolt heads hitting the forks to disengage the clutch! but now, We can't decide wich part to split to get to the clutch bearing of the torque? Either the back part of the middle section, or the front by the engine clutch? We would rather split by the engine so we could check the engine clutch, but if not possible, we would split ahead of the trans.

I know I did the TA clutch on our SMTA when the engine was split away from the bellhousing. Yours should be the same.
