I have a International 240 utility with a factory loader and backhoe on it. I would like to put a power take off and a three point or fast hitch on it. Does anybody know what models will interchange I would like to find somthing off a parts tractor but don't know what models
I could use. Also does anybody know the value of somthing like this sheet metal is straight but it needs paint and runs good.

PTO from a C, Super C, 200, or 230 will fit a 240. As for the Fast-Hitch, it would probably be best to find one from a 240, as there are a lot of little differences in the Fast-Hitches used on the Super C-240, and they might be hard to interchange. I have a 240 Row-Crop, an aftermarket three-point for a C/Super C/200 fits, but you'll need to figure out how to lift it, because it is designed to be lifted from the rockshaft under the gas tank on those earlier tractors.

I guess what you are saying is you don't plan to use backhoe anymore? right or wrong? What you are proposing to do is an awful lot of work, and probably money. If it were I, I think I would give serious consideration to selling unit as is and buying what you want. At least find out cost of parts and put an add out on unit to see responce. Just my opinion.

What you have is a unit that is very useable for a lot of things, that would take a lot of time and expense to convert to the 3-point/fast hitch. I agree that if you want to have a tractor that you can use with 3-point/fast-hitch attachments, you should sell this one and buy one that already has that equipment. Is the backhoe and loader in useable condition? How much would you want for it? Where are you located? Let me know , and the others on the board, and I would not be surprised if there are interested buyers for the tractor as is. I have 240 Utility with fast-hitch and 3-point conversion that I might be interested in trading for one with a backhoe and loader. let me know.

Just from looking at the way the backhoe mounts it looks like a guy could take it off or put it on in less than an hour and no more than I use it I thought it would be nice to have power take off and two/three point hitch since I could get more use out of them and still have the hoe to use if I needed it. Maybe it would be more work than it would be worth I'm not sure haven't messed with the mechanics of a power take off unit. I have been told that it would not be all that bad to do but it sounds like I may have been misinformed. I am located in Butler IN. some people have shown interest in a trade or buying it. Email me if interested

Scott: Brett Muncey is the guy with the 240 with loader and hoe. I am just the guy that suggested he find someone like you and trade.
