I bought an M minus an engine and was wondering if an engine out of a 1954 Chevy truck would work. It has a bore of 3'9/16 and a stroke of 3'15/16. The RPMs are about the same as the original engine. Does anyone see a problem in this working? Has anyone tried it? Thanks,

I have an F-12 with a chevy 216 in it. The frame has never been lenghtened. It was a fairly common swap in the fifties, as the motors were more available. My neighbor had this 12 and an F-20 both with the Chevy 6.

I think the 6 cylinder engine will be a little long, you will have to lenghten frame.
