Just changed the voltage regulator on my H and after running it around the yard and up and down the driveway. I parked it back in the shop and went to shut it down by pushing in the switch button and the tractor kept running. Did I hook up a wire backwards or what? Any suggestions?

sound like you got a wire on the wrong side of the switch the gen is putting power to the coil all the time so thats why it wont shut down you might want to unhook the batt or it will go dead if you leave it that way.
