I am about to embark on a journey into the bowels of my International Cub Lo-Boy transmission.
I have all the tools, (crane, jacks, wrenches, heated garage) I know I can do this..

Can anyone give me a Reader's Digest version of what I am getting into to replace all the bearings in the transmission? Does the transmission have to come completely out of the tractor to do this?

Where do I start?
Thanks a ton..
Bubba

Just so happens I have my cub lo-boy transmission mounted on the engine stand right now. From the looks of it you have to pull it all the way apart to chang all the bearings and seals. Remove the hitch, fenders, seat, platform, ect. and then remove the final drives. Be careful as the are heavier than they look and the one on the right will have a long axel on it. Might as well do the breaks now too, while your in there. You should get a shop manual from binder books before diving in or at leats an I&T manual because you will need to set the pre-load on the bearings.
