Since the others say it'll probably work I'll point out one good aspect of using it in a thermosphin system.
No thermostat to seieze.
Just in case anybody reading this decides to try it in a pressureized system, note that you should take out your thermostat. Run the stuff. When the leak is sealed flush, flush, flush the system, then replace the thermostat.
Otherwise you will sieze the thermostat. I've been down that road enough times to know its a bad place to be.

There is nothing better than doing something yourself.
So the shop in town closed - big deal.
Fix the radiator yourself, its not that hard.
Don't rely on the over the counter stuff. It doesn't work on a cold and it won't work on your tractor fix. Pressure test in a water tub - find the leak - solder it - done = no more leak.

I have a friend who brags about waterglass, I guess you can get it at any pharmacy. He says you drain and flush all antifreeze from system and refill with straight water and this stuff. Run the system up to operating temp and after leak is gone, refill with 50/50 mix antifreeze. Havent tried this yet but he swears by it. Anybody else ever heard of such a thing? Will talk to him tomorrow and if I have this wrong I will update here. Fred

I have used stop leak in a B model farmall radiator with good results. If I remember right the product I used was called Silver Seal or something like that. Bars leak is also supposed to make a good product. I think the SilverSeal ran around 2-3 dollars. The Bars Leak probably runs about the same. Good luck.

I agree with Red Dave and Wayne, provided you leaks are small. However it would be best to drain the system and premix the product with your water and antifreeze in a thermosiphon system. Otherwise it will take it a long time to become evenly distributed before it will fix your leaks, particularly in the winter.

Yes. I used some JB Stop Leak (Justis Brothers) in my 1937 JD. Get the engine warmed up so the coolant is circulating and then add it slowly.
I even drained out the water one fall and when I refilled it in the spring, the stop leak went back to work. No more leaks!
