I recently purchased a 460-row crop with a wide front. I want to add a loader to it the current from tires and rims are the original rims with either 5.50-16 or 6.00-16-cant remember.
what i think i need is a meatier tire and rim set up for the 6 bolt hubs on it not really a floatation type but a healty 2 or 3 rib tire and rims.
Any suggestions on size would be appreciated(in this case size matters) ha ha, thanks in advance for any suggestions
Randy

Had a 460 Farmall row crop diesel myself. I got rid of the tricycle and went with a Shwartz front end. I used 9.5L x 15 on an 8" rim. They look nice and provide good flotation. The standard three rib look the best I think. Bought new tires locally with rims from Abilene Machine Salvage Yard in Abilene KS. Your next problem will be front end spindles if you overload things. Traded my 460 for a 766. Wish I had it back for sentimental reasons.

Myself i would not go much over a 6.50 x16 and make sure that you get at least a 6 ply if not and 8 . Keep in mind that it is a Farmall 460 not a 988 Cat.

Please send me the wiring harness for the Farmall 504D. I will have the time to do it right. This tractor is being restored for fun and show.
