Hey Bill, Its time you guys had a taste of old fashioned winter down there, it was sunny and clear here today for the most part but darned cold. They are talking -11C for tonight, last night was - 19C but we do have a forecast for zero and slightly above about mid week next. I also should tell you that hot rum and butter can be used for human thermal insulation..no more than 26 ozs. per day ...Mike in Exeter Ontario

I'll go along with that Mike, but what is the butter for.

I was selling potatoes in my roadside vegetable market. I had red potatoes, white, yukon gold and the old Nova Scotia blue. Those have blue flesh as well as skins. A lady caught sight of the blue potatoes and said," now where could I get some salt herring to go with the blue potatoes." Salt herring and blue potatoes is a favourite dish in NS. I replied," and some black rum." She came back, "what do I need the rum for." I said," If you drink enough rum you wont have to pick the bones out of the herring." Herring bones are quite fine and if you keep your mouth full, it is quite easy to chew them up and swallow them.

Bill: I hope I'm missing something here, but if your counting on 60 more days of winter where does that leave us.
