My magneto equipped H used to start on the second pull of the crank handle every time. It's been sitting in our barn since November and will not start now. It turns over easily and you can hear the mag click, but there is no go. Fuel is getting to the carb OK and I have put in new plugs and plug wires. I will put on a new distributor cap and rotor. The rotor I have is an IHC and carries the number 7425 DX - is that the part number?

Bad Gas???? If you haven't tried this, you may want to try a quick shot of starting fluid to see if it fires off. If it does it probably will continue to run, but if the gas is bad it will quit in a hurry...BobG

Take your plugs out and squirt some motor oil in the plug holes, cyls. could be dry,no vacume to suck fuel into combustion chamber. Points might be corroded.
