The Cub's are badged "FARMALL". The Lo-Boy's are badged "INTERNATIONAL". The Lo-Boy's wheelbase is 7 1/4" shorter and the height is 7 1/2" shorter. All Lo-Boy's have the under the axel muffler. Standard tires on a Cub are 300 x 12" fronts and 600 x 24" rears, on the Lo-Boy they are 400 x 12" fronts and 700 x 24" rears.

If the front axel is lower that the top of the front tires, it's a Lo-Boy.

HOOPE THIS HELPS!!!!! !!!!!

Lots of similarities, but lots of differences also. One quick way is to look at the steering arm at each front wheel- if the arm is lower than the top of the (standard 12") front tire, it is a LoBoy. If the arm is higher than the tire, it is a (regular) Cub. This method works for those instances where no other tractor is available for comparison.

Which is the most desirable or most valuable? I just saw a Cub Low-Boy sell at an auction for $2700.00 with an almost new 48" belly mower.

A difficult question for me to answer. The LoBoy is much more rare due to the much lower production numbers and the few years in which they were made. The LoBoy is much better for working hillsides due to low center of gravity. The regular Cub has a much larger variety of implements available. My guess is that the LoBoy probably will bring a few more $$, other things being equal.

On the LowBoy the rear axle drop housings are rotated forward 90 degrees which lowers the rear of the tractor. On the regular Farmall Cub they are mounted straight down to give high clearence under the tractor rear end. Shorter front axle height already mentioned.
