Do the MD's and Super MD's always have to start directly on gas?

after they are warmed up for a few minutes you can start them up directly on diesel, that is why ih put the bigger starter on them.

I have seen guy's pull start them. But normaly you have to go through the normal starting procedure to get the combustion chamber warmed up to fire the diesel fuel.

If you have been running a MD or SMD for a while(1/2 a day or better) the combustion chamber will still be warm and she will crank on Diesel.I was plowing with my SMD one saturday and stoped for lunch, after lunch I decided to try to start it on diesel and it worked!!!!
