I'm interested in putting hydraulics on my 1942 A. Does anyone know the best way to tackle this issue. Is it possible to modify super A parts to do the trick, or are there after market kits.

I'd also be interested in a t-pt hitch. Are these avaliable out there somewhere, or will I need to build my own?

Thanks

As Sam says, you can likely rig a pump off the fan belt to run hyrdaulics. But it's gonna be expensive!! You've got to have a pump, reservoir, hoses, cylinders, valves and the list goes on! I think you would be better off to sell your tractor and find a Super A. None of the Super A hydraulics parts will fit on the A.

Unless you replace at least your block with one that has the hole with for a hydraulic pump you can't modify Super A parts to fit. I don't think there are any aftermarket kits for hydraulics. You may be able to make your own system and mount the pump near the generator and run it off the same belt. There are 3 pt. kits available for the Super A. Hope this helps. SAm in NS
