I went to check on the C that a guy said was a white one. It had white showing thru all over the tractor. The ser.no. is 51369. It doesnt appear to have a water pump but I think it had super C sheet metal with the small emblem on the grill. Icant tell the size of the engine as it does not have the cu.inches stamped behind the oilfilter. Is ther any other no's to check on the block? It comes with 2 sets of weights and niceWagner loader with cylinder on the bucket. Thanks for all the info. Ill probably buyit if you guys agree and think its a white one. Thanks again, Andy

C demo's will not usually have a water pump, although it was an option. All C's except possibly a few very early ones (1948) had the IH symbol on the grille. Your serial is in the Demo range, check the engine serial, it should be close. Remember the demos were C's not Super C's, c113 engine.

Andy,

If you're considering it only because it seems to be a demonstrator, I would additionally check all the casting numbers. You will naturally be looking to make sure they are all "T" indicating 1950, or "S" with day and month indicating late 1949. My demonstrator Cub has some late '49 castings.

If, on the other hand, you just want or need a C, make the best deal you can and go for it.
