Snow has melted, got back to working on my cub today,60f sunny and in my tee shirt, listening to race, with a coke,so far so good.By 17:00 still would not start, turned over easily, new plugs, have spark, compression sucks my finger in plug hole and blows it back out again, wires new, coil new, points new, condenser new,cap and rotor new, have advanced and retarted dist and it sounds promising but it will not go,checked and reset gap in plugs and points twice today.I hate to say this I even tryed ether but no go.Also have new carb on it and it was running before all this snow.

Bill do you have good compression on all cylinders? if there is an exhaust valve stuck open it will loose some suction and not pull the gas up to the cylinder. just a thought

All those new parts and no ignition makes me suspect that you aren't getting any current to the system. Get a VOM (volt ohm meter) and check your wires and switch. I had a bad swtich on my H.

I am getting a spark on all four plugs. I believe I'm experiencing carb problems.Have fuel into carb, but must not be getting to comb chamber.

I had this problem with my 140.
Take a plug and put it on one of the wires to see if you are getting any spark. If not, it could be the coil. If you are getting spark, then it could be the timing. I put the wire on wrong after changing them and this is what fixed mine.

Check to see if you are getting spark on an old plug.

Just a wild shot in the dark. Have you dumped in a can of gas line antifreeze? Let it set for a while after adding it and try again. If this isn't the problem, you're not out much money and it might be good for things anyway.

Paul, took line off to carb, good fuel flow, remember I even used a shot of either and it would not fire cough or pop.

I know this sounds elementary but it has happened to the best of us...re-check firing order of plug wires on distributor cap and check to make sure of #1 position of rotor tang at TDC on compression stroke of engine. Then, wire the corresponding position on dist. cap to the front (#1) plug. Going clockwise on Dist. cap, next wire to #3 plug, next to #4 and last one to #2. I'm well known for having brain fade and tried to get an M running once thinking that #1 cyl. was next to the gas tank. Hope you get her running.
