Hello, I am doing up a Farmall H standard. Am I right in thinking that the "overbore" sleeves 3 7/16" will fit straight in a standard H engine with out modification to the block? This would upgrade it from an H to a Super H? I know this is a question that probably comes up all the time and I'm sorry to repeat. I couldn't see anything in my quick look in the archives. Thank you for your response.
PS The engine is a kero job (assume low comp head)and I was going to go for some flat top pistons to suit. Sound OK to you guys?
I paid A$100 (US$60) for it seized and it's cleaned up pretty well so far. Should be a fun machine to use.
Regards

Thank you your replies.
I just wasn't sure and thought I'd better check with someone who had already done this. Greater performance doesn't worry me. I just want to get it running well so I can have some fun with it.
The photos are great Chad. Thanks. Gives me some inspiration.

THE 3OO OVER BORE WILL WORK IF YOU HAVE THE BLOCK BORED.YOU MUST ALSO USE THE 300 PISTON PIN BUSHINGS.THIS WILL MAKE IT A 175 SAME AS A 350.

Well we just re did a H engine and put the over bore 3-7/16 sleeves in it no problem.
It will not be a super H for horse power that is forsure. The duel fuel H had like 24 hp I think. and the newer gas model had 28 hp I think. We had the gas model and we put fire crater pistons in it and they tell us like 31 or 32 hp now.
We got one heck of a deal on the rebuild kit if you want to know where we got it email me off line. It is a fun job. We are now starting the duel fuel H that we have that has been converted from duel fuel but still has the 8776-DA head.
you can see the two tractors below. the nice red one is a 48 my grandpa bought new in 48 we just got done with that. and the last picture is the rusty 44 that is now running!
If you need any engine parts let me know I have a spare that we want to part out.
good luck and most of all have fun! we did!

My "H" had it's rear wheels dished like yours and the front wheels could be adjusted for width too. With the rear wheels being dished in, does it make for a narrower tractor ? Just wonderin'.
