My super A will move either rockshaft up and down, but it will not lift any equipment. I put a guage on the rear flange, like it says in the manual, and I only get 150 pounds when I move the levers. My question is: How do I know if the pump is not putting out enough pressure to lift the equipment, or do I have a problem with a regulator or safety valve bypassing. Thanks for any advice.

Are you sure you are not losing hy fluid into the crankcase thru the seal. Mite want to rebuild the pump.

The pump should put out 1000 to 1500 psi. However, you have to put a load on the rockshafts to cause it to develop pressure. If you have no load, it will only develop enough pressure to move the rockshafts. So put the equipment on there that it will not lift and then check the gage while trying to lift. If you are using a 3 point hitch that works from the rockshafts, about 500 lbs is about the max you can lift.

The fluid stays right up to the plug level. I have about 300 pounds on the 3 point hitch and it will only read lifting pressure of 150 pounds on my pressure guage when I move the control level. How can I elimate the pump as the problem or the regulator valve, in the block?
