Got some good advice from you all over the past five weeks.Bigdog I think you hit the nail on the head about those wires, got a new set of solid core plug wires and a new set of plugs(Autolites)only the 5th set since Sept.Such a nice day down here in Md that I had to go out side under the old maple tree garage and get to workin on the cub had my twelve year old take the plugs out set the gap while I made up the new wires, put the battery charger on the battery and in about five minutes she was running, smooooth as a babies be-hind.I even did a little dance in the back yard.Hey Hugh and Mike got 7 1/2 rows of taters in yesterday disked the old garden down with my 1940 H and my 8ft disk felt reel good, that was tuesday last week then the garden dryed out enough that I took the old wheel horse with my spring tooth and leveled it down so I could run my troy built tiller through it so that I could get those taters in on Sat,even had enough time to put in some peas.Feels reel good to get back in the soil even if it is in a small way.Hope spring gets here soon for you guys up north.

Glad to hear you got 'er buzzing! As for us up here in Ontario we had an ice storm over the weekend, that's disrupted power and knocked down trees and hydro lines. My cattle were without water so I had to get a barrel and fetch them some, 36 hours later the power was back on and the pump back in operation. My 584 and manure spreader are sitting outside with about an inch of ice covering everything, the ground is white with ice and snow and planting potatoes is so far from my mind...you lucky devil..like I said before put in a row for Hugh and one for me . That's good news about your tractor....Mike in Exeter Ontario
