I have an International 2444 with 2050 loader. The SN is 04276. I am having trouble linking the SN to manufacturing date. Not much info on 2444 out there, do the 2444 SN's mix with the 444 ?

Thanks

Hello Ben, --- 14 / April / 2003 ---

The "I-2444" is a 'TBL' (Tractor, Backhoe, Loader) tractor and is 1 of several such tractors. You may want to go to a construction equipment WEB SITE ( www.ibdozing.com )(this is just 1 of several) to get a answer. The "I-444" tractor listing would not list the "I-2444" tractor.

Regards, Milton

The International 3444 was the Backhoe Loader Tractor with a intergral frame and its own serial number series. The International 2444 was the industrial version of the International 444 and is in the same serial number series as the I-444. Ben's tractor is a 1968. Although the 2444 can be fitted with a loader and backhoe, it does not have the intergral frame of the 3444 and the front loader available for the 444 was not as heavy duty as the intergral front loader of the 3444.

Thanks Milton,
I thought that was the way the 2xxx and 3xxx tractors were laid out. Mine was origionally a low boy, however the wheels and tires have been changed out to use as a regular utility/ag tractor.

Do you know if a reverse flow fan can be used on this model tractor ? The 2050 loader frame channels lots of heat back on to the operator (me) :( If I cannot reverse the air flow, I will have to make up a couple of sheet metal air deflectors for it. Will look ugly, but should work.

I believe a reverse flow fan was available. It will be in the parts book.

Thanks Milton,
My 2444 has only a loader and standard 3 point and PTO in the rear. I do understand that these were mostly sold to Governmental agencies. Mine is painted yellow and was purchased from the Army Corps of Engineers about 15 years ago by an uncle who bought 2. The loader is super with big teeth, it will really dig, not just scoop. The loader also has its own pump, driven from the front of the crank. Mine has a loader the other one was equipped like a standard tractor and painted red.
I have ordered manuals for it, but not here yet :(

Hello Ben,

The International "I-2444" is an Industrail (or some type of "BLT") tractor and a crop out of the "I-444" tractor. It would be interesting to see the complete SERIAL NUMBER and "SURFIX LETTERS" (if there is any), of both tractors.
