Adam, the Super MTA isn't all that rare. They were only produced for one year (1954), but they built 23,522 of them.

I have 2 1948 MD's that are running as good as they ever did. Like any other antique, they both need a few things done, but I still disk, bushhog, and whatever else i need to do with a tractor.

I know of 1 good MD out there. I finished restoring it after 50 hard years of service. It's a '41 model that my great-grandfather bought new. My grandfather gave it to me in '97. An engine and transmission overhaul along with a paintjob brought it back to life. It's now in retirement and gets the easy jobs. Starts on gas with a little black smoke, but she runs like a dream.
Take it easy,
Steve

Adam, I don't know how many MD's are still running today, but a couple years ago the local salvage yard guy said that they hadn't got any in for several years. I was out back in the same salvage yard this spring and did not see any more than they had when I was restoring my MD which I finished two years ago. You sure don't see a lot of them around. Roger
