1944 Farmall H Woods L306 belt question

Does anybody know of a place that sells the Wood's belt part #13425 for a fair price? This will be belt #3 for me and I am growing tired of paying $100 each for the #*$& things. The belt is 282 inches long and 5/8" narrowing to 3/8". If there is an aftermarket source, I am certainly not against buying non-Wood's parts!

Thanks for any suggestions!

Link

If your belt doesn't show up, do a search with that part number. I myself use the Pix belts (shown here) from A&I and have better luck with them than the original Woods and at half the price.

That link didn't work - just go to Link and search your part number.

I bought several belts from different mill & mine supply companies, less than half the price of the woods belts. You may not be able to get the exact length but should have enough adjustment to make something work.

Brett,

I feel your pain. I ruined a $100 belt on the first mowing from not having it tight enough...it flopped over and broke its' back. I think I'm on my 4th belt on my L306F. It took a while to learn to properly tension the belt...the Woods will stand much more tension than an ordinary belt, and should be run accordingly. The Woods belt also has a built-in twist to dampen flutter that others don't have.

Make sure your belt is tightened VERY tight and it will far out-last the cheaper belts. It's made to run that way.
