Hi Guys, I posted some pics of an old Farmall Regular with the original canvas curtain on the radiator in the "Parts and Pieces" section. Those curtains were used on Regulars,F-12, F-20, F-30, 10-20, 15-30 and possibly the 22-36.As far as I know they were not used on gas only tractors, just the kero burners or the ones that could be changed to run kero or gas with the manifold baffles like the 10-20 and 15-30 have from 29 up to when shutters were put on(37-38???). There are some good shots of the set up incase anyone decides to reproduce them. The canvas was pretty old so we didn't unroll it, but it looked like it might have had a very thin rubberized coating on it and was originally black in color. It was on an original except paint, 2 owner tractor. The fellow that had it was getting way up in years and said his Dad bought it new. Hope these pics help out.

Your pictures sure helped. I have two F 12's with this curtain design and only had the bottom pieces and so wasn't able to figure out the rest for the top bar or the hooks from just the parts book. Could you tell if the ends of the top curtain rod or bar just rolled around the hooks or were they crimped or spot welded to keep them in place? The remains of the curtains I have appear to be red or orange in color. I would say it looks like the color of the old red inner tubes of that time that was used to rubberize canvas but I don't have a good enough sample to be sure. I was going to try squeeging in some orange RTV gasket rubber on some white canvas to see if I could reproduce this look. Maybe someone out there has already come up with the better copy of this canvas material.

Nice pics!
Even after shutters were introduced on USA Farmalls, some German Farmalls had a canvas curtain in front of the rad, in addition to a thermostat. We had a 1957 and a 1953 Neuss built D430 that had a curtain. It could be controlled from the dash.
