Wanting to buy propane head in good condition to rework that will fit 1949 M farmall.

If you are looking for an exact replica of the M Lp head, which they did make a LP version of the M you could use a super m or 400-450 head and mill it about .125 and recive the same HP if not more than the original lp head.

M's did not come with propane. Don't know if the one off a Super M will work or not.

a super m -450 is the same casting as the lp. look at the compression chamber, it should be the same style, then have the head milled about .150 thousandths, and make that M LP come to life. I have info on where you could find lp cyl heads or any kind of farmall H-450 performance parts engine,transmission, rims, pulling parts and profiles on farmall pulling tractors.
