A strange thing happened yesterday. When I started the Cub it ran very rough and had no power. A compression check shows 85-90 psi in #1 &2 cylinder and 10-15 in 3 & 4 cylinders. I assume a head gasket blew. This engine has very low original hours and had been running great. Two questions... This engine has always (that I recall) had enough crankcase pressure to blow a little oil out if you remove the CC breather cap with the engine running. Is this normal for this engine? The engine does not use oil, leak oil or smoke. What are the torque specs for the Cub headbolts? Thanks in advance.

There is a breather tube from the front of the crankcase to the intake canister. If it is plugged, it will cause the blowby from the oil breather.

Head bolt torque is 45 ft. lbs.
