I need to remove the rear wheels from my 1952 IH SW6 to replace axle seals and maybe bearings. I've used a bottle jack chained to the wheel and lots of WD40. It won't budge. Will heating the hub on the wheel(cast) hurt the wheel, hub, etc.? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Believe it or not, I found it easier to take the cover off the rear and remove the bull gear and pull out the whole axel. This was after many attempts with pullers and heat and penetrants. The hydraulic puller might be a good thing though.

When i had the same problem on my -4,I rented one of those hydraulic gear pullers, put it on,which wasnt exactly easy, loaded it down with PBBlaster for a couple of days pumping the handle on the pullers as much as I could every few hours and it eventually came off.
