I bought a 606 with brush mower. The mower deck is shifted off to the right. One of the things I noticed was that the vertical arms on the 3pt hitch are different. The one on the left is "Y" shaped at the top and the one on the right is straight and attaches on the side of the hydrolic arm. My gut feeling is that they should both be "Y's". Does anyone know for sure.

3 point hitchs were made in those days with only 1 side adjustable to level whatever was on the hitch, later tractors were adjustable from both sides.

RPM: I had a 504 and a 656 both had cranks on both sides. I did not buy those tractors new, but can tell you they were bought new for potato row crop work, and knowing the original owner, I can see him making that an option, and the dealer he bought them from would oblige.

The parts manual finally came in. It shows a set up that is totally different from what is on the tractor. I've got to find out if these parts are still advailable. The manual shows that the two-point fast hitch is adjustable on both sides, while the 3point hitch is only adjustable on the right side.

Bill: I wish you had a picture of that hitch to post. I have never seen a 606, however I'm thinking that hitch should be same design as other 04 and 06 tractors. Both those vertical lift links should be the same. They should both have levelling cranks. I'm not just sure what you mean by Y type. The ones I remember had about 1" pin going through rockshaft with a hole on the end at right angles to pin. The levelling crank and lift link attached in that hole on head of bolt. I am not sure this will make sence to you as it's hard finding the right words to put on it. One place where a picture would be worth a 1000 words. Come back with your comments, I'm sure we can sort this out.

Hi Hugh, It will take a while to borrow my friend's digital camera. Maybe by next week I can post a photo. I too am having a hard time discribing it. On the parts page they list a Housing, leveling screw for RH/LH (http://www.aicatalog.com/index.cfm?id=Brand7&item=522819R1) could this be the top part? With the "screw" (http://www.aicatalog.com/index.cfm?id=Brand7&item=523864R11&ASSO=1) being the bottom part. I think I need to just replace both arms, they look pretty bad.
