Saw a pretty nice C (at least it had C decals) at the pulls on Saturday. Well, they got washed out but that's another story. Anyway, it had the curved pedals, taller grill and disc brakes. I asked one of the owners and he said they'd checked the serial number and it was a C. I looked in a couple of books and it does appear that some of the very late C's had the changes of the Super C's but the model name hadn't changed yet. That was news to me.

I beleive I have one of those Cs that you are talking about. When I bought it I thought is was a Super C because it had Super C decals. At the time I had no idea what I was doing or what to look for - I just wanted a red tractor for my acreage.
When I got it home and started working on it I found the serial numbers and much to my surprise the serial number was for a 1951 C, not a Super C.
As I did further investigation with a lot of help from the guys on yesterdaystractors, I found that the tractor did indeed have the curved pedals, the 123ci engine, touch control hydraulics, etc. As I asked around about this someone finally told me that in the last production year of the Cs some of them went out the factory door with all the Super C stuff. I beleive the Super C decals were put on my tractor by someone doing a rstoration on it many years ago. I lucked out.
