I ran across an F-30 in an old crib the other day. The tractor looks like it hasn't moved in many, many years. The motor is locked up, but I can deal with that. I talked to the owner, and I think I can convince him to sell it pretty easily. What would one be worth? I see a lot of F-12's, F-14's, and F-20's, but this is the first F-30 that I've seen in person. Are they sort of a rare model??? Any advice would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks, Brian

It is worth what you are willing to pay to have it. Tractor restoring is NOT a money making business. It is a labor of love on the old iron ladies. A F-30 is an impressive big brother to a F-20 when they are parked side by side. I have an F-30, a W-30 and a F-20.

F-30's are not common as only 29525 were produced. There are too many variables to give a estimate on worth. Such as Narrow-Tread?Year?Steel Wheels?,Options? Also any frost damage to block, Manifold original Kerosene and condition? Also is the tool box serial plate on it and legible? These factors all contribute way too much to give even a close estimate on worth! My advice is to offer as low as you can and see what it can be bought for then think about it for a bit. Good Luck!

not too many F-30s around here. I picked up one last summer and am slowly getting it back together. the moter was stuck and currently changing out one of the final drives as the axel bearings were bad. I got my F-30 from a friend in exchange for an afternoons work on his other tractors. Then I found another transmission and rearend with a good set of round spoke wheels near my home that only cost me the hauling. I will have enough invested as it is by the time it is finished. Any tractor with a stuck motor and bad tires is about a giveaway in my opinion unless it is excptional or has sentimental value.
