Is there any grease or oil residue on surfaces? Clean all clutch contact surfaces with with disk brake cleaner.

Several years ago a neighbor had the same thing with clutch for his winch on a log skidder. The problem was that when the machine shop turned the driving surface they did not do a large enough diameter and there was a small ridge left at the very outside. The winch would work until a heavy load was applied and then the clutch would slip because it was only making contact on the outer ridge.

Verify that your flywheel has been turned properly and the clutch disk makes contact with all the flywheel and pressure plate surfaces.
