Of the two choices to either heli-coil or tap new threads for the H, I'm getting the machine shop to make a new stud, bottom threads fit an M, and the top threads match the standard H studs. I believe the block can better take the stress of the slightly larger stud than the cylinder head. I'm also going with the suggestion to install an new head gasket. All of this was needed to prevent coolant from entering the crankcase via the right front of the block after an otherwise sucessful overhaul. Thanks for the help.

Bill,
Come on down to the Temple show Oct. 2-3. I'll be somewhere around the ATIS banner with my newly acquired CUB. Love to meet you in person!

Phil
